Environmental work and goals

Our restaurant is Svanen certified since the middle of april 2008 and during the middle of 2009 the hotel section is also Svanen certified. This means that the entire operation of the hotel now has been environmentally reviewed.

The work to Svanen certify an hotel means that the company take an overall grip on the environmental work. This demands a deep commitment from the management and the entire staff. The hotel needs to have a long -term environmental thinking and reduce the environmental effect in the daily work.

Among other demands, Svanen contains an energy and water saving, environmental adjusted furnishing and articles of consumption, environmental labeled cleaning products and an effective handling of domestic waste.

On example of active environmental work at Handelsman Flink is that all premises are heated with rock heat or air heat pumps. Biological sewage treatment works and the fact that they only work with near produced food.
